Remembering your husband doesn't think like a woman!

Good evening,

I am just a wife who cares and would do anything for my husband to make him understand how much I love him or make him feel loved. I sometime wonder if my husband even feel the same way towards me. Life is hectic as newlyweds of only 4 months! We are both working, we both have our own hobbies and our schedules are completely opposite! So making time for each other in my view is very hard to do and in my husbands eyes we spend quite a lot of time together. We have been working through this with a lot of communication but one thing that has been hard in that aspect for me is remembering my husband does not think about things or situations the way I do. He thinks very practical and "analytical". I think with well I guess I will just admit it without beating around the bush... Emotional. These feelings don't go very well together. I am pretty sure (correct me if I am wrong ladies) that the emotional side of me is raging while aunt flow is in town. In the last 5 years of being with my husband we have experienced many different situations, speed bumps and (yes) many arguments over the fact that sometimes we just think differently. My dear husband has told me since, the first lets just call them speed bumps (fight, situation, argument), "speed bump" that my emotions take over and I never make sense. Well I hope I am not the only woman that thinks this way but emotions are how I deal with things and also travel through life. Yes it is an emotional roller coaster, but it's how I experience most of my life!

So many of us woman have to take a step back during a speed bump and like driving in a car go slow over it and realize our husbands ( or boyfriend or significant other) may not be experiencing the same thought process that we are experiencing. One thing that has helped my husband and I is re-stating how we are in my case feeling and have him repeat it in a question. Example : (wife) I am feeling very hurt by the fact you want to go out with your friends without staying in with me? (Husband) You are feeling hurt that I want to go out with my friends instead of staying home with you, is this correct. : This technique of communication has worked really well with my dear husband and myself. Try giving it a try next time you and your love of your life are going over a speed bump! Well I hope this is has possibly helped someone out there that just may stumble across my post! :) I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend! As I will be resting and recovering from a procedure I had today! Goodnight!!!
